Question
How was 2024 for you? Was it good or bad? Was it
positive or negative? Did you lose more or gain more? These questions are for
you to answer. It’s binary and focused on your outlook for reevaluating how
2024 ended for you.
Binary
What is significant about binary? Let’s look at it. You get light and darkness, love and hate, right and wrong, male and female, water and land, start and finish, and we can go on. What’s special about this year is that we tolerated a short season of people who lost their identity to believe they could exist outside the world of binary. In our Kingdom, you get truth and lies. This group of people exposed themselves to know that a male could never be a female, and a female could never be a male. You could try to prove your point, but in essence, you would be wasting time that you wouldn’t get back. So let’s get back to 2024.
Reflection on Life Stages
Let this thought sink in for a few seconds. Did you notice that when you are a baby, you need to be cared for, looked after, dressed in nappies, and are very dependent on adults who you soon learn are either your parents, step-parents, siblings, friends, or family? Now as you get older, did you know that you repeat similar steps? You become dependent, someone has to wash you, feed you, dress you in nappies, and then your life continues for a few years before you pass on. Binary? Young and old.
Grey Areas Between Binary
During or in between the life of binary, you are living in the term called ‘grey areas.’ It’s unknown and different for everyone. Yes, there are similarities, but it’s the grey areas that provide context to binary. Did you know binary within grey is the combination of black and white? Without those two colors, grey wouldn’t exist. If you think of binary, you would understand the walls within which we live and know that binary is similar to boundary. Without boundaries, we have no law and order. Without law and order, you exclude God. God created life with law and order on earth, which is our boundary, and blessed us with binary life, male and female serving His land.
Creation and Binary Design
Genesis 1:27: "So God created mankind in his own
image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created
them."
This verse affirms the divine creation of binary
roles, male and female, designed with purpose and intention.
Order and Boundaries in Creation
Genesis 1:4: "God saw that the light was good,
and he separated the light from the darkness."
Light and darkness are a foundational binary, showcasing God’s establishment of boundaries within creation.
Dependence and Life Cycles
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2: "There is a time for
everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be
born and a time to die."
This reflects the binary nature of life stages, youth and old age, within God’s ordained seasons.
Truth and Lies
John 8:32: "Then you will know the truth, and the
truth will set you free."
This speaks to the binary nature of truth versus lies, urging believers to stand firmly in God’s truth.
Law, Order, and God's Sovereignty
Proverbs 8:29: "When he gave the sea its boundary
so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the
foundations of the earth."
Boundaries established by God reflect His divine law and order, ensuring life thrives within limits.
The Grey Areas and Context of Wisdom
Proverbs 4:7: "The beginning of wisdom is this:
Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding."
The grey areas of life require discernment, wisdom, and understanding to navigate effectively.
Dependence and Mutual Support
Galatians 6:2: "Carry each other’s burdens, and
in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
Whether young or old, our dependence on one another aligns with God’s call for mutual care and support.
God’s Law as the Ultimate Boundary
Psalm 19:7-8: "The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the
simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart."
God’s law serves as the ultimate boundary, providing life, joy, and guidance.
Closing
2024 has been a year of reflection on life’s binary
design, light and darkness, male and female, truth and lies, and the boundaries
that God established for life to flourish. The grey areas we encounter give
context to these binaries, reminding us of the need for discernment and God’s
law. As we close this year, let us celebrate God’s order, embrace His truth,
and live within the boundaries that reflect His divine purpose.
