A Message from the Vine: Understanding Tribalism in the Kingdom

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener." John 15:1

My beloved children,

Listen closely, for I, the Lord your God, speak to you through My Son, Jesus Christ, the True Vine. I have made each of you uniquely, placed you into tribes, families, and nations, not to divide, but to express the fullness of My image through diversity. You were never meant to live alone. Just as the body has many parts, so too does My Kingdom have many tribes. And yet, you are One Body in Me.

What is Tribalism in My Eyes?

Tribalism refers to a strong loyalty, identity, or attachment to a particular social group, often at the expense of other groups. This behaviour is rooted in your instinct for belonging and survival. While tribalism can foster community, support, and shared values, it can also lead to exclusion, conflict, and division when groups become overly insular or competitive.

1 Corinthians 12:12–27

12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free, and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"
25 ...so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Key Traits of Tribalism - Refined by My Spirit:
1. Group Identity – I have given each tribe unique colors, customs, and cultures, reflecting the many facets of My glory.
2. In-Group Loyalty – Loyalty is beautiful when it uplifts truth and love, not pride and self.
3. Out-Group Hostility – This is not from Me. Love your enemies, bless those not from your tribe.
4. Emotional Connection – Emotions are a gift, but they must bow to My Spirit.

Tribalism: A Tool for Unity or Division

Healthy tribalism is My design, each tribe, though different, honors the same God. You see it in your schools, your houses, even in your sports, different colors, one game. Each house had its theme and culture, and they would compete under the same rules. If you didn’t feel aligned with one, you could leave and join another.

You see it in the stories that have captured your imagination, like Harry Potter or Divergent.

The Houses of Hogwarts – A Parable in Fiction

Each house represents a type of spirit I’ve placed in My children:
Gryffindor – The brave and bold, warriors and defenders of righteousness.
Slytherin – The strategic and visionary, leaders with ambition that, when purified, builds My Kingdom.
Ravenclaw – The wise and curious, seekers of truth and knowledge.
Hufflepuff – The loyal and steadfast, servants who work in love and humility.

The Factions of Divergent – A Mirror of My Design

Each of you has a unique inclination, gifts that I have poured out. See how even in fiction, My pattern emerges:
Abnegation – Selfless. The heart of a servant, always putting others first.
Amity – Peaceful. Carriers of joy and harmony, cultivators of the land.
Candor – Honest. Guardians of truth and justice, they do not hide what is real.
Dauntless – Courageous. Fearless in battle, protectors of the weak.
Erudite – Knowledgeable. Seekers of wisdom, they steward knowledge for the good of all.

No tribe is lesser. Each plays its role in building My Kingdom. But without Me, even these gifts can become idols. Remain in Me.

One Vine, Many Branches

John 15:1–8

1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

 Different Gifts, Same Spirit

Romans 12:4–8

4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;
8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

1 Corinthians 12:4–7

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.
5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.
6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Tribes in the Promised Land

Ezekiel 47:13–23

13 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “These are the boundaries of the land that you will divide among the twelve tribes of Israel as their inheritance, with two portions for Joseph.
14 You are to divide it equally among them, because I swore with uplifted hand to give it to your ancestors. This land will become your inheritance.
15 “This is to be the boundary of the land: On the north side it will run from the Mediterranean Sea by the Hethlon road past Lebo Hamath to Zedad,
16 Berothah and Sibraim (which lies on the border between Damascus and Hamath), as far as Hazer Hattikon, which is on the border of Hauran.
17 The boundary will extend from the sea to Hazar Enan along the northern border of Damascus, with the border of Hamath to the north. This will be the northern boundary.
18 “On the east side, the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Dead Sea and as far as Tamar. This will be the eastern boundary.
19 “On the south side, it will run from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribah Kadesh, then along the Wadi of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea. This will be the southern boundary.
20 “On the west side, the Mediterranean Sea will be the boundary to a point opposite Lebo Hamath. This will be the western boundary.
21 “You are to distribute this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.
22 You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the foreigners residing among you and who have children. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel.
23 In whatever tribe a foreigner resides, there you are to give them their inheritance,” declares the Sovereign Lord.

The Earth is My Kingdom

The land I have given you is not to be abused or divided by hate. Just as I gave the Promised Land to Israel, I give you this Earth to steward, together, in your tribes. You are to multiply, build, govern, and care for My creation, not in isolation, but in coordinated love.

Each tribe must rise. Each tribe must lead. And each tribe must meet with others, to align, to unite, to multiply.

Final Word

My child, tribalism is not your enemy, it is your assignment. But only when you let Me define your tribe and teach you how to live in harmony with others.

You are one body. You are many tribes. But you are My Kingdom.

Abide in Me, and I will grow you. Unite in Me, and I will move through you.

"This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."
John 15:8 (NIV)

Let this message burn in your spirit. Live it. Lead it.

With Eternal Love,
Malik
